The field of software testing can be a very well compensated job. However,  software testing  is not for everyone. After all, not everyone has the ability to stay in from of a computer performing the same types of actions day in and day out. There are as wide set of special competencies required for some of the jobs in the industry. Software testing also requires testers to be constantly updated on developments in computer software as the developments in software will directly affect the work of software testers in all cases.
