Protecting data in a disc crash

January 1st, 2008 | by admin |

I recently had my hard drive crash. I don't mean that windows decided to be bitchy and make me reinstall itself – It's been a long time since I've been idiot enough to run Microsoft programs, thank you very much. I mean that my hard drive, spinning away quietly at it's ungodly speeds, suddenly emitted a scratching, screeching sound which could only be described as sickening, and immediately wiped out vast swathes of data like some primordial plague lord reaper scorching the continent of Europe with the bubonic. It was hellish, but nothing compared to the misery which began once I hired a hard disk data recovery service. More information from data base management
