File Scavenger Shareware is a data recovery solution for FAT and NTFS file systems. It can recover files damaged due to virus attacks, accidental deletions from Windows Explorer, command line window, recycle bin or network share. It can restore the data file in its original folder and modified dates. It supports file compressions, alternate data streams, and sparse files. Its trial version can recover only 64KB of a small file.
It has three search modes. The first is the quick access search mode. It quickly recovers the recently deleted files. The other mode is called Exhaustive mode for exhaustive search of files lost or damaged, and the third one is the defunct volume mode that can recover files even from RAID volumes.
