Data Recovery And Security

November 23rd, 2007 | by admin |

There are many data recovery solutions that are available today. Most entail using a program to recover data that’s been ‘lost’. Actually, data on hard disks is rarely lost for good. This is because in most cases, the data is not deleted entirely; it’s just deleted from the registry so it gets overwritten when new data comes along to fill its space. Even then, it is still occasionally possible to retrieve data that has been overwritten or even reformatted. This is why computers that are supposed to be secure have security functions to prevent data recovery by unknown or unauthorized parties.
