September 1st, 2008 | by admin |

Biometrics has been fast catching up in the contemporary scenario. The science of biometrics is not a novel concept and has its own history. Perhaps one of the biggest benchmark in the history of biometrics was the biometric consortium. This consortium was established in 1992 under the chairmanship of Dr. Benincasa. The consortium was taken over by Dr. Campbell as the chair and Ms. Alyea as the vice chair in 1994. Another important happening in the history of the consortium was the approval of the biometric consortium’s charter in 1995. The Facilities Protection Committee approved the charter.
