One of the main reasons I’m majoring in Chemistry is the opportunity to get into
Electron Microscopy. The ability to look so deep into the fundamental building blocks of the universe is just extraordinary.
I’ve been reading up on who invented the electron microscope on the Internet lately, and I’ve just been blown away at how extraordinary these machines are. The process of building the first one of these must have been truly extraordinary.
I’m going to have to start bringing a sleeping bag to the lab this year. That’s alright - I enjoy it.
