Don’t Build Here - Business Intelligence
July 24th, 2008 | by admin |While driving home from work I noticed yet another strip mall going up in a neighborhood saturated with strip malls. I wondered do we really need another coffee shop, dancing fountain, and ice cream shop in this neighborhood. I also wondered if these stores, many among many, are going to be able to make money, are they over saturating their own marketplace.
I probably would not be asking such a question if said businesses had taken the time to utilize a Business Intelligence professional. I am sure that he/she would have been happy to tell them, "If you have a store across the street, this may not be the best place for you."
