Conventional Studio vs. Virtual Audio

In an era that now supports complete $700 PC computer audio recording software with PC manufacturers dueling over the $1,000 or less marketplace, there is the likelihood that higher priced workstations and servers will get faster components yielding faster bus speeds before less expensive machines do.

The final question, and, perhaps, the most difficult one to answer, is whether virtual digital audio recording software will replace the conventional studio.
