Looking For Projection TV Information

Hello, I have finally decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to an HDTV and have been looking into getting a Projection TV due to the more "bang for your buck" you get from them. Is there anything specific I need to keep in mind while shopping for a rear projection TV or in owning one? Most of my friends still have conventional TVs as well, the ones who do have HD have gotten plasma screens, and some have been less than thrilled by their expensive toys drawbacks. So that is why I am looking at rear projection as a method of saving some green.
