Why use a DSL filter
November 16th, 2007 | by admin |Usually, the DSL filter is a small device in rectangular shape provided by dsl service providers. It consists of RJ11 connectors on both ends. All the subscriber is required to do is to unplug the telephone line from the wall jack, insert the filter into RJ11 jack and then plug the telephone line into the filter. DSL Filter is also required for fax machine and answering machine lines.
DSL Filter provides many benefits against dial up service.
a) It is always on
b) It is 50 times faster
c) It does not tie up the user’s phone line
The DSL communicates on a higher digital frequency whereas the standard telephone equipment utilizes an analog signal. The advantage here is that you can easily browse through the internet via using this service and also keep talking on the phone at the same time.
