Aironet Wireless Bridge Office to Office LAN
July 1st, 2009 | by admin |Our company has finally opened its second office a few blocks from the original one. We ran out of space in our original building but want to keep part of the operations going on there because of its proximity to our partners. We’re setting up an Aironet wireless bridge to connect the LANs instead of paying for an entirely new T1 leased line for the second building. The only reason we can do this is that the buildings are close enough (I think the range for the bridge is around 6 miles) and we don’t require multipoint splitting. So far everything has worked perfectly and there’s even seamless access to internal servers between both buildings. IT security assures me that there are no likely potential breaches of this Cisco system.
