Computers Need Computer Memory

However, the term could be used to describe both mass storage (in the case of hard drives and flash drives) and RAM as well. Memory is where a computer will keep the data it needs in order to function. Without memory, computer simply will not be able to compute anything, so to speak. It is important to make sure that you have enough memory of both kinds to ensure the smooth running of your computer system.
