Iis Log Statistic Usage

A recent survey on STD awareness done through iis log statistics shows that  the students' attitudes toward condom use before sexual intercourse with a new partner were equally positive before and after the campaign. The women in all groups were more positive than the men about using condoms, as reflected in higher medians. However, the campaign did not show any increase in the use of condoms at first coitus with the most recent partner. Use was highest among freshmen (65%) and lowest in the STD group (51%).The survey viewed the intervention as successful because it was noticed by almost all of the students. The messages seemed to have been well accepted and led to discussions among about half of the students. Although knowledge about STDs was high at baseline, about one fourth of the students reported that their knowledge about these diseases increased.

Wireless Laptop

My shiny new wireless laptop arrived today. I spent a lovely afternoon working at my local Starbucks. Yeah yeah, cliche I know, but it was so nice to get out of the house. I was beginning to look like the belly of a fish after all these days spent in my dungeon of an apartment.
I’d like to find the inventor of Wireless Internet Access For Your Laptop and thank them personally for changing my life for the better. Working from anywhere is so liberating. It makes running your own business so much more pleasant.
I think I might work in the park tomorrow - bring the dogs along. Ain’t it the life, though?

Information Security

We really need to overhaul our information security strategy. I’m concerned that our data is vulnerable to attacks from the outside. Our network just isn’t secure.
It’s fallen to me, as usual, to fix this. I’m researching Data Center Security as we speak, trying to find a way to get it through management’s thick skulls.
Next time my proposal gets rejected, I should get them to promise to stay up with me in the racks for as long as it takes to fix the next disaster that comes along. Maybe that will give them some perspective.

Data Security

I’m concerned about our data security. We have never had a real plan for it, and as our company grows, it’s becoming more and more vital to protect our IP.
It’s fallen to me, as usual, to fix this. I’m researching Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards as we speak, trying to find a way to get it through management’s thick skulls.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and I’ll be the one on the hot seat if a breach ever does occur, so there’s not much choice in the matter.

Wireless Internet Laptop

I really need a
wireless Internet laptop. One more day-long stint working in my lightless cell of an apartment might just send me over the edge. It would be much better to get out and work in a cafe or some other internet hotspot.
Laptop Wireless Connection must be the best invention ever. For me anyway. Anything that gets me out of the house is great, but one that lets me get my work done and be around people is truly life changing.
I think I’ll head out to the local brew pub for work today. They have free wireless in the beer garden and good pub food. It may sound odd to work out of a pub, but the wisteria vines in the beer garden are so pleasant. It’s a great place to hang out.

DVD duplication replication - what’s the difference?

Once I learned the differences between cd duplication and dvd replication services I was then left scratching my head as to differences between DVD-5 and DVD-9.  *sigh* and such terms as bit rates, authoring, authoring bit rate etc.  All this barely scratched the surface of the subject of dvd cd duplication replication and I really wanted was to find out where to go and what to do to transfer data from a number of my videotapes to DVD.

Anyway I did learn that the differences between DVD-5 and DVD-9 is  that while all replicated discs have two layers (layer 0 and layer 1), a DVD-5 has data only on layer 0 (up to 4.7 gigs), while the DVD-9 disc has data on both layers (up to 8.5 gigs)

Corporate Information Security

We really need to overhaul our corporate information security strategy. I’m concerned that our data is vulnerable to attacks from the outside. Our network just isn’t secure.
So of course it’s fallen to me to take the initiative to learn more about What Data Security Is. I’ll also need to find a way to sell it. Perhaps a full-blown risk assessment.
Next time my proposal gets rejected, I should get them to promise to stay up with me in the racks for as long as it takes to fix the next disaster that comes along. Maybe that will give them some perspective.

Wireless Network Software From Atheros

It is known for developing semiconductors for enhanced wireless communications. The chipsets manufactured by Atheros for standard wireless networking are used by brands including D-Link and Netgear.

As far as Atheros wireless network software is concerned, Atheros communications announced JumpStart for Wireless for securing, installing and configuring a wireless network. JumpStart for Wireless makes it possible to set up WLAN security for wireless networks, merely with the click of a mouse. Simultaneously, it also provides security features like encryption and device authentication. You will find numerous online resources on Atheros wireless network softwaree.

Magnetic Whiteboards Are Great

Magnetic white boards are something that should be used in every office. When my friend suggested this concept to me a month ago, I ridiculed him by saying that with so much advancement in technology, he still remained traditional and backward. But, he just smiled and kept quiet. When I casually asked him as to whether he had changed over to something modern and advanced about the presentation in office, he again smiled and told me he had and that the amount of time he was saving because of it was not a joke. Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try out this magnetic white board in my office. Now I am quite happy and satisfied with my decision.

Seminars For IT Training

Few days ago our company conducted some it training seminars. It was about the new technology and development going in It industries. Trust me, first it sounds boring as we thought, it is all about the introduction and re-introduction of things that we all know. However, this seminar turned out to be very interesting one. The speaker who was giving this seminar was very experienced.  They gave us extensive training regarding the new developments in IT industries. We really did not know about the many things that were happening around us though we work in same field. I think such seminars are very helpful to stay updated.
