Aironet Wireless Bridge Office to Office LAN

July 1st, 2009

Our company has finally opened its second office a few blocks from the original one. We ran out of space in our original building but want to keep part of the operations going on there because of its proximity to our partners. We’re setting up an Aironet wireless bridge to connect the LANs instead of paying for an entirely new T1 leased line for the second building. The only reason we can do this is that the buildings are close enough (I think the range for the bridge is around 6 miles) and we don’t require multipoint splitting. So far everything has worked perfectly and there’s even seamless access to internal servers between both buildings. IT security assures me that there are no likely potential breaches of this Cisco system.

Steps to Make Sure Your Company Is Correct With Sarbanes Oxly Compliance

June 24th, 2009

Many companies need to make sure that they are compliant with the financial reporting act called the Sarbanes Oxly Act. There are steps that they can take that will benefit them in making sure that they are in line with Sarbanes Oxly Compliance. These steps include making sure they have one source of reporting, make sure their system is web-based, they should have real time capabilities, they should have the right kind of software for the regulation. Other steps include creating flexible projections, they need to keep all involved informed and not just a few selected, and they need to make sure that there is international awareness.

Of Mouse and Men

June 21st, 2009

I’ve seen a lot of great digital art. I’ve seen some crappers too. After seeing the good stuff, one starts to wonder how they’re done. I mean, there are some mindblowing explosions of color and 3d effects out there. And then there are others that make you feel like you’re in a time-warp back to the days of 8-bit computer gaming. Hello Mario! I don’t even think there’s any reason for it what with all of the teaching available right at your fingertips.

There are so many great tutorials for digital drawing out there. When I look at some of this digital art, I don’t even think that the artist realizes there are ways to draw on the computer that don’t involve herk-and-jerk mouse movements. First of all, there are computer algorithms that can create beautiful abstract swirls and fractal generations. There are also plenty of hand-tools such as digital graphics tablets that allow someone with a lot of on-paper drawing experience to accomplish what they’ve already been trained to do. So cut it out with all of these MS-Paint creations guys, my eyes are hurtin and you will be too if I catch you at it!

As A Pop Up Blocker Godzilla Can Make A Home Computer Based Business Profitable Again

June 21st, 2009

A friend of mine worked from his home computer. He ran several websites and was doing very well for himself. While over the past few years he had several computer meltdown which forced him to spend a lot of money to correct, perhaps the most frustrating of all the computer problems he faced was the problem excessive pop ups. They virtually froze his computer making it impossible to do anything other than closing out unwanted windows. That is why he soon turned to Godzilla Pop Up Blocker. Since then his computers are free from pop up windows, he can use any sort of program from goggle, to messenger, and all the while, his pop blockers program continues to help him to be profitable.

Fake Spyware Adware Removal Programs

May 15th, 2009

The producers of spyware adware are becoming more clever in their attempts to trick unsuspecting computer users. A new strain of spyware adware has been written and it is even more malicious than its predecessors. In an attempt to counter the true anti-spyware programs, these code writers have made fake anti-spyware programs that look like the real thing. The only problem with them is that once you download them thinking you are going to get rid of your current problem, often times the fake program will write more and more spyware adware onto your computer system making it that much more difficult for you to remove the programs.

Those that are continuously talking to others may also be interested in finding lower costs to keep the conversation going. Instead of counting the minutes, you can use technology to stay connected with others. One of the newest technologies on the market is the use of talking to others through the use of the Internet. If you are interested in answering to the call of innovation, then you can begin by finding low rate voIP software. This allows you to connect to others like a regular phone while using your PC or laptop for better connections. With this is the capacity to keep in touch with others while using technology and a lower price.
